Steven Avery, the Wisconsin man currently serving a life sentence for the Oct. 31, 2005 murder of photographer Teresa Halbach, is seeking a new trial, with his lawyer claiming that new evidence shows that Avery’s conviction is tainted. Halbach’s death was at the center of the Netflix documentary series "Making a Murderer." Defense attorney Kathleen Zellner claims in a court filing that the evidence points to another man who appeared in the show, Avery’s nephew Bobby Dassey, as a likely culprit.

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A bill introduced at the Idaho Legislature would boost Idaho's minimum wage by several dollars in 2021. House Bill 55, introduced by State Rep. Sue Chew (D-Boise), would increase the state's minimum wage of $7.25 an hour to $8.25 an hour by July 1 of this year. It would then increase up to $10.50 by July 1 2020 and then to $12 and hour by 2021.
